Our Story
Our founder started in the trades in 1993 — long before Niclab Consulting Group LLC was formally established in 2010. That means every project we take on is backed by over three decades of hands-on New York City construction experience, accumulated through every type of building the city has to offer.
We've spent the last 8+ years working extensively on Harlem's historic brownstone buildings — some of the most demanding and rewarding work in NYC. Each brownstone has its own personality, structural quirks, and preservation requirements. We know how to navigate all of them.
We also have deep experience in co-op and condo buildings, where every project requires coordination with building management, board approvals, and strict rules around working hours, materials, and access. We handle all of it.

New York City has a very high concentration of pre-1978 buildings — brownstones, co-ops, and condos — where lead paint is common. By law, renovation work disturbing more than 6 sq ft of painted surface indoors must be performed by EPA Lead-Safe certified renovators. We are both firm-certified and renovator-certified, protecting you and your family.
